signs of spring

Snapshots from Sunday. Everything is still dead and it reminds me of November rather than March, but the weather is warm and the sun is high... Even if everything is turning into mud instead of snow. I'm trying to master puddle reflections... It's always a work in progress.

mousy

Jeggings & Tshirt: Walmart, Cardigan: Thrifted, Shoes: Gift, Necklace: Justin

Oh Sundays. Today I got up early, had my morning cup of coffee, attended a light party, picked up all my laundry, cleaned out my closet and filled 3 boxes of clothes to donate/sell, went grocery shopping, took these pictures, did Justin's little sister's trial makeup for her prom on Saturday, and rearranged furniture. I love productive days off.

location scouting

Sweater & Jeans & Moccasins: Thrifted, T-shirt: Old Navy

Sweater #5 in my ugly sweater collection~ I thrifted this one at Salvation Army in Burlington in January 2013. It's the one I throw on for the walk to work when it's too hot for a heavy coat and too cold to go in just a tshirt. You've seen it before in this post right here.

I'm kind of in love with this parking lot. It reminds me of taking pictures on top of the parking garage in Burlington.

Week 13 in my 52 weeks project~ I hope you all have a good weekend! Sorry things were so quiet around here this week.

week 12

Lazy days, hardwood floor appreciation, and lots and lots of Tart Deco by Essie. I want about a million more tattoos.

the first day of spring

Dress & Necklace & Shoes: Thrifted, Shirt: eBay, Tights: KMart

Happy first day of spring! 40 degree weather still unfortunately calls for tights, but at least I can wear dresses again. I thrifted this dress a couple week ago, and it's the first black dress I've ever bought (excluding my prom dresses of course)... and I had to break out the polka dot tights again for another adventure.

Hopefully with spring's timely arrival, this means that Justin and I will start going on adventures again. Fingers crossed!

around here

Lots of Beyonce & Miley on repeat lately, lots of spring thoughts, lots of lipstick & florals & nail polishes. And my hair is finally long enough to be put up into a top knot. ;)

laundry day

I brought my camera with me yesterday when I did laundry because I hate waiting and pacing and constantly checking to see how much time I have left. Laundromats always remind me of my dad, because when I was little after my parents got divorced, I would always go to with him to help him do his laundry. I became the expert sock matcher and blanket folder.

Folding clothes always reminds of this poem by Elisavietta Ritchie that we read in AP English Lit my senior year of high school. I came home with 3 mismatched socks & two baskets full of clothes, work uniforms, and fresh clean sheets.

spring fever

Shirt: Target; Tank: Old Navy; Skirt: earthmamma on storenvy; Boots: Mom; Necklace: Thrifted

Today we got our first taste of Spring. It was 50 degrees and breezy and made me wish I owned a pair of rainboots so I could go puddle jumping and have a real adventure instead of just taking pictures in parking lots. But 50 DEGREES! SKIRT WEATHER! OPEN WINDOWS! And Adrian's opens on Friday! Oh I am so overjoyed. It's too bad it's supposed to get cold again for the rest of the week.

Week 11 in my 52 weeks project~
