Wisconsin autumn is something I look forward to every year. I've found that I appreciate fall so much more since my six month college stint in Georgia. I love the introduction of sweater weather & scarves back into my wardrobe, crunching through leaf piles, dark, vampy makeup, and consuming copious amounts of tea & hot cocoa. I think life feels better in the fall; it means a new routine, a far cry from those lazy summer days.
Autumn always seems to be a cry for change, both physically and mentally. The leaves change, the weather grows colder, and I always seem to grow as a person. In 2010, fall meant starting college. 2011 brought a second job--one that helped me grow tremendously as a photographer, but also made me hate waking up in the morning (just a little bit). Justin came into my life in October 2012. This fall, we're making a big transition into our own apartment and making another stride in this thing called cohabitation.
One thing I've realized as I've gotten older is that change is good. I am actually starting to embrace change and focusing on the opportunities it brings instead of dwelling on the bad stuff. Life feels good.
Soooo pretty. . . We don't get that fall glory in California. *sigh*
