one day at a time

The first signs of spring seem to come later and later every year. Appreciating the tiny green and pink buds on my walk this morning. Everything feels so weird right now, between quarantine and COVID-19 and things still feeling so up in the air.

My 2020 weddings have been dropping like flies, rescheduling to later dates or even next year, changing everything about their weddings, and everything is so uncertain.

Because of the stay-at-home order, I pushed back everything on my calendar until it was announced that photographers could get back to business again. Now it feels like I'm just sitting here, twiddling my thumbs, waiting until June so I can shoot again. Fingers crossed I can get 5 engagement sessions, a family session, and a wedding photographed.

Abby and I are stalking the pink trees and hopefully use them for her graduation photos... and some Self-Portrait Therapy for me too.

I finally did laundry for the first time in two months, since quarantine started basically, and I still have two more loads to do tomorrow. Still writing my business story. Still drinking coffee, taking walks, taking pictures... the usual.

One day we will figure out a new normal.

Until then?

We take it one day at a time.
