Lots of Beyonce & Miley on repeat lately, lots of spring thoughts, lots of lipstick & florals & nail polishes. And my hair is finally long enough to be put up into a top knot. ;)

laundry day

I brought my camera with me yesterday when I did laundry because I hate waiting and pacing and constantly checking to see how much time I have left. Laundromats always remind me of my dad, because when I was little after my parents got divorced, I would always go to with him to help him do his laundry. I became the expert sock matcher and blanket folder.

Folding clothes always reminds of this poem by Elisavietta Ritchie that we read in AP English Lit my senior year of high school. I came home with 3 mismatched socks & two baskets full of clothes, work uniforms, and fresh clean sheets.

Today we got our first taste of Spring. It was 50 degrees and breezy and made me wish I owned a pair of rainboots so I could go puddle jumping and have a real adventure instead of just taking pictures in parking lots. But 50 DEGREES! SKIRT WEATHER! OPEN WINDOWS! And Adrian's opens on Friday! Oh I am so overjoyed. It's too bad it's supposed to get cold again for the rest of the week.

week 10

Chasing light always, forever. This week has been pretty unremarkable... everyone is longing for spring, myself included. At least my car works again, and I hear next week is supposed to be warmer. Adrian's opens next week, which is always the first sign of spring for me. It's weird to think I've been living in Waupaca for almost a year now, and I've been blogging regularly for just over a year. It's funny how life changes.

Beth & I work together and a couple months ago we booked this shoot with her and her boyfriend Tyler for Valentine's Day. They were such troopers, running around in 12 degree weather and still smiling like champs. And they didn't laugh too hard when I was crouching in knee deep snow taking pictures and fell on my butt, so thanks for that guys. ;)

wishing it was spring because i'm so sick of wearing snow boots all the time

getting inspired by my closet again, which is really the best thing ever

wearing all the ugly sweaters until i have to pack them away to make room for summer clothes

catching up on grey's anatomy

making a list of craft goals i want to accomplish

loving all the light parties, everywhere, all the time

becoming a morning person... i never thought i'd see the day (but i love it)
